Time for Change- Spring Clean Your Thoughts & Goals

This Spring season can be life changing if you want it to be – all you have to do is set your mind to it. Easier said than done, sure, but did you know that spring cleaning doesn’t only have to be about your home? Spring can be the perfect time to clear your thoughts and prioritize your goals, too! Think of it as spring cleaning your mind for a positive, more focused, and stronger you.

First, set aside all previous goals, priorities, and tasks – wipe your slate completely clean (don’t worry, you can always add the important things back in after your future goals are reframed).

Let go of the past, and focus on the now. Set your top priorities based on what you need and what you want.

Be Mindful & Present

Start this spring season by creating a new vision for your life. Let go of the past and free yourself from any negative personal narratives. In order to truly move forward, you have to put one foot in front of the other, not backwards! Allow yourself to be in the present moment. Thank intrusive thoughts for their presence, then press delete to move on. To be present is to fully live in the moment and focus on the now. In today’s fast-paced, tech dominated society, being fully present can be one of the hardest things to do.

Take some time to reflect on the following:

  • What are you happy with? Think critically here - what are you actually currently happy with about your life? Why?

  • What areas in your life would you like to change? Why?

  • What is something you have always wanted to dedicate time to, but never had the chance? Why?

  • What are your top 3 priorities right now? Why?

These are just a few ideas to think about in order to pursue a positive future you’ve always dreamed of. Behind every ‘what’ needs to be the ‘why!’ The HOW will present itself.

Focus on Your Future

Once you have settled into the present and prioritized what you want, you can invite future goals to mind. That’s what spring is all about, new beginnings! So, focus on what you want to do in your life from here on out. What are some things you always wanted to do, but fear stopped you and got in the way of your courage? Focusing on the future can make you feel overwhelmed, but it is the first step in prioritizing your goals. Take the first step today to propel yourself into discovering the best you, you always wanted to be.

Be the Best You
This spring, make a fresh start by focusing on becoming the best version of yourself. So, when you are cleaning out your closets, kitchen cabinets and dressers, take a break to declutter your MIND as well!  Empty out the past negative stories taking space in your brain and heart and make room for the new stories that only you have the power to create!

Discover how you can build courage, empower yourself, and reframe your future for the best you can be.
